**Description**

Nike Direct - which combines Nike Digital and Nike Direct-To-Consumer teams - is responsible for developing and delivering engaging experiences, products and offers to Nike consumers.


We are looking for a Manager of Product Information (PI) Engineering for the Direct-To-Consumer Product Information team whose mission is to design and develop applications and services for enhanced Product Information for nike.com and Nike Retail stores. We are refining and expanding our solutions with our cloud native architecture with increased scale and scope and unprecedented extensibility.

As the Manager of PI Engineering you will be instrumental in leading the charge in this change. As our Manager of PI Engineering, you'll be a trusted member of our team with the following responsibilities:

o Manage and lead teams of Cloud & Java engineers with end-to-end engineering responsibility: design, commit, deploy, maintain, dev/ops

o Build an Agile engineering culture that consists autonomous squads that focused on highly available and auto scaling applications and services

o Accelerate our cloud transformation and continuous deployment model

o Build a strong technology foundation, including best practices, patterns and standards.

o Collaborate with other engineering squads to evolve Nike's development methodology.

o Work closely with Product Management to ensure product owners work effectively within scrum teams and to align staffing with projected product delivery roadmaps

**Qualifications**

To make it clear, we're not looking for just anyone. We're looking for someone special, someone who had these experiences and clearly demonstrated these skills:

o Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field

o 8 years IT or business experience

o 2 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree

o 2 years' experience in a management role of an Engineering team, including conducting performance reviews and mentoring of technical staff

o 5 years' experience in Java development, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate

o Demonstrated experience leading teams in an Agile / SCRUM methodology required.

o Proven track record of successfully delivery

o Demonstrated ability to influence critical business outcomes in a matrix based, global environment

o Strong networking skills and ability to work across multiple organizations

o Excellent communication skills in both formal and informal settings

o Ability to pass a 7 year background investigation.

o Demonstrated experience with large consumer facing web services development required.

o Demonstrated experience with cloud native application architecture.

o Strong preference for experience developing web services using microservices design patterns.

o Strong preference for experience leading teams utilizing TDD, Continuous Integration/Deployment, and Paired Programming techniques.

o Strong preference for experience working in a DevOps model.

o Comfortable utilizing API Blueprint documentation.

o Demonstrated development experience in an AWS Environment (EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, VPC) or similar Cloud Services such as Google or Azure

o Familiarity with autoscaling, blue/green deployment tools like Asgard

o Familiarity with continuous integration deployment tools, like Jenkins, Team City, Bamboo

o Familiarity with server and configuration management tools like Puppet and Chef.

o Familiarity with NoSQL technologies, preference for Couchbase and Cassandra.

o Familiarity with Simian Army tool suite like Chaos Monkey and Conformity Monkey.

o Familiarity with run time operational tools like Splunk, NewRelic, Grafana, Hystrix, Turbine

o Familiarity with eventually consistency models
